Never really noticed you
till your words came my way
And I thought, “Well, he’s cute
maybe we could play”
Just for the day
Innocent fun
in a room full of chums
who like to talk about how
The world’s bein undone
from the safety of their nest
perched high above the rest
But I sat too close
exposed to much
and Fate did the rest
No sooner did I say it doesn’t matter
no one really cares
You walked thru the door
and took the floor
Overtaken by something
that lives deep inside
And overwhelmed by my eyes
as I sat by your side
So I lowered my glance
& was jilted by a joint
it happened so fast
Lost all control
with one little glance
